complete July 2017
We are very proud to have completed the design of the first bar to open at the iconic Battersea Power Station, No.29 Power Station West. This design project has taken 2 1/2 years to complete, we were tasked with setting the tone for the first opening at Battersea Power Station. Inspiration has been sought from the era of the original power station; Elegant Art Deco fused with Industrial Power design, all with a twist of our own. We have collaborated with many talented makers to create a space filled with bespoke pieces of furniture and lighting modelled on original designs from the 20-s through to the 50’s.
Handmade, bespoke metal furniture and light fittings have been made for us by Marcus of Hi Tec Steel, unique upholstered pieces by Marcus at The Frenchouse, timber crafted stools by Jan Hendzel Studio, Ancient Oak tables by Dirk Breens in Belgium and cantilevered bar and booth lights from Olivier at WoandWe in France. Wonderful bespoke patterned tiles were hand made in Spain by Bert and May and laid to dramatic effect throughout the lower ground floor.
