197 Chiswick Fire Station, London

Designed in collaboration with Red Deer

completed 2016

This glorious old fire station has been reinvented, with a light filled, sun kissed, californian interior. There are a few, obtuse nods to the original station, with white washed horse stables and bert and may handmade terracotta brick tiles but mostly we decided to keep the interior very fresh. The rear of the room has been knocked through bringing in the rear courtyard to create a garden kitchen feel to the back of the restaurant.

Handmade, bespoke wooden furniture has been provided by Jan Hendzel studio, and the frenchouse including Box 9’s latest piece of furniture the ball table.
